whenever mob is attached to lead it always mange to walk and escape like it's not attached to anything and it's annoying

Do you see the mob become disconnected from the lead while attached to a fixed object?
Otherwise, what happens to the mob when it "escapes" (wanders nearby, despawns, etc)?
