[MCL-7490] Launcher will not open

I downloaded Minecraft WIndows 10 edition, and now I cannot open the java launcher. It shows a blank screen and the Task Manager confirms that the launcher is indeed not open. A restart did not help. How can I resolve this?

There is no crash report, though. The window is just like a ghost. It is supposedly open, but it is invisible AND does not react to clicking. It does not crash, it just does not load.
