[MCL-11499] Launcher will not open after its been downloaded.

I've bought Minecraft already from your website and wanted to download it onto my new mac. So i logged in and then download the app. then i opened the .dmg file and dragged it into my applications. i then opened my applications folder and located Minecraft. i opened that app and it asked if i wanted to open it due to me downloading it from the internet and i selected open. After opening Minecraft it didnt load and gave me the message of 'Minecraft quit unexpectedly'.

I've researched and found out that the reason for crashing is an Illegal Instruction - (EXC_BAD_INSTRUCTION / SIGILL)

How can i fix this issue?

Please go to your minecraft data folder (click the link to find out how) and attach the files launcher_log.txt, updateLog.txt, and nativelog.txt here.

i was unable to locate the "launcher_log.txt" but found the "updatelog.txt and nativelog.txt"

We just released a new version of the Minecraft Launcher. It both contains many bug fixes but will also log more information. Please try that and see if this problem persists. If it does, please upload new versions of the log files.
