I've been making a map and I wanted to use the /clear command. I used a simple comparator-clock to activate the commandblock with the /clear command. I want, that everyone, who is in a specific area, get cleared his inventory, but somehow it works not everytime
The exact command:
/clear @a[x=71,y=84,z=-7,dx=,dy=1,dz=5]
I am in the right area, I've tested it many times.
In the first screenshot, you see the clock and the commandblock with the command. In the second screenshot you see me in the area; you see how I am holding a quartzblock. That means, my inventory doesn't got cleared.
It works, but somehow not everytime. It isn't lagg, because the redstones seems to run smooth.

No, that's not the problem. Nothing is equal zero. Also I just tried now 0 instead (as you said), but this issue happens again and again. I tried also with greater numbers than 0 => 1 and 10. It cleared my inventory. But when I use the mousewheel (pickblock) it will keep failing to clear my inventory. With 0 it failed after the first use of pickblock. With 1 and 10, it fails rarer, but still after the fifth try.
The commandblock output:
"[20:32:23] Could not clear the inventory of Rismosch, no items to remove"
(Rismosch is my username)
Now I tried "nothing" for dx= again and somehow, the issue happens still as rare as with 1 and 10. Maybe I had lag as I've found this issue.
I've tested it now several times. Now I know, that you have to put a number in the tag, which is greater than 0. If it's 1 or higher, than it works perfectly. It only have problems with 0, also with nothing. But as you probably guess: this area is now bigger than I want to :/
Is this still a concern in the current Minecraft version? If so, please update the affected versions in order to best aid Mojang ensuring bugs are still valid in the latest releases/pre-releases. If this has been done, we can reopen the issue.
Keep in mind that the "Resolved"-Status on this ticket just means "Answered", and that we are waiting for further information on whether this issue still exists or not. We will reopen it as soon as the requested information has been delivered.
I think you might want to add some value to dx=
like 0,1,2,3,etc whatever you like, if you don't put something in, it gives a invalid format
