Are you going to post a crash report?

There's a button up at the top of the screen that says "More" and has a little arrow pointing down next to it. If you click on it, the first option is "Attach Files". When Minecraft crashes, it puts a log of the crash report into .minecraft/crash-reports. Look for the most recent one that has been generated and attach it to the bug report.

It says that it "Could not create the Java Virtual Machine"

How do I now make that the texture pack if the game won't open?

Delete the 512x texture pack and it won't keep trying to use it. I have to ask, how much RAM do you have in your machine? I find it unlikely that you would have a GTX 650 in a machine with so little RAM that you can't even throw a gig at the JVM. Can you take a screenshot of what the "Profile Editor" window looks like when you've added the option to increase the JVM heap size to 1 gig?

When I put the texture pack into 1.7.2 from the resource pack option in the menu, the file stopped being viewable so I can't find it to delete it. Apparently there is 8.00 GB of RAM installed?

Too less memory on a 32bit machine.
