The Bug:
Vines don't drop as items when their supporting vine is sheared.
Steps to Reproduce:
Build the setup shown in the attachment below.

Break the vine that is attached to the diamond block using some shears.
Observe if the vines that were being supported by the vine you just broke dropped as items.
Take note as to whether or not vines drop as items when their supporting vine is sheared.
Observed Behavior:
Vines don't drop as items when their supporting vine is sheared.
Expected Behavior:
Vines would drop as items when their supporting vine is sheared.

@Avoma Your video is about [MC-123140], not about this issue.
Feature Suggestion possibly? I only say that as its designed to only allow vines to be harvested when broken by shears. The vines below the vine you harvested are being broken by the formula of the game code that say vines must be attached to other vines or a solid block. Since you removed the vine above them the formula says they shouldn't exists so it breakes them normally. this is so that if you harvest a jungle tree and walk away while the leaves despawn you aren't laggin out do to all the entities floating around from dropped vines.
