in the snapshots and previous versions of Minecraft when i use a resource pack i have the music discs play songs (ones i made)
now they play the normal Minecraft sounds when I use music discs
1.have a custom sound resource pack that changes records/music discs
2.play the disc while using the resource pack
3. it will play the normal music not the music in the resource pack

I had the same problem:
Open all the way until you see the "records" folder, cut, paste in "sounds" folder. If there isn't a sounds folder, make one.
