item models with multiple animated textures desync over time despite the mcmeta file having the same nuber of frames
Apply the resource pack provided. look at a totem of undying. This pack turns the totem of undying into whatley from portal 2. The eye and the eyelids are two separate textures. the desynchronization happens between the “suspicious” and “happy” animations. if you let the animation loop multiple times, the gap between the two animated textures gets worse and worse.
These textures should not desynchronize. they both are the same length.
