Apply the resource pack provided. look at a totem of undying. This pack turns the totem of undying into whatley from portal 2. The eye and the eyelids are two separate textures. the desynchronization happens between the “suspicious” and “happy” animations. if you let the animation loop multiple times, the gap between the two animated textures gets worse and worse.

These textures should not desynchronize. they both are the same length.

I’d like to test and confirm this, but the example is too complicated to be a good repro for narrowing down the issue. Let’s try to get a simpler example, like two colored squares with just a few frames that are supposed to always stay in sync. I’ll make one myself if I get some time.
