The mainhand arm doesn't swing when making a tamed wolf sit or stand while holding a dye the color of its collar

Steps to reproduce

  1. Give yourself a dye.

  2. Summon a wolf with your player character as the owner. For instance, the following command can be used:

    execute summon minecraft:wolf run data modify entity @s Owner set from entity @p UUID
    execute summon minecraft:wolf run data modify entity @s Owner set from entity @p UUID
  3. If not using red dye, dye the wolf's collar with the dye.

  4. Make the wolf sit or stand while holding the dye.
    → ❌ The interaction animation will not be played.

  5. Take any item into the offhand.
    → ❌ The offhand arm will play the interaction animation.

Expected behavior

The mainhand arm would play the interaction animation, as is the case with cats.

I tested this on snapshot 5, 4, 1.21.11, and 1.20. Everything described in the report showed up in all of these versions except for 1.20, where the dog wouldn’t sit at all. hope this helps.
