Villagers only seem to share food at 25 food points.
Since villagers only need 12 food points to be willed to breed, it would make way more sense to have villagers trade their food at 24 food points.
Why do I think this should get fixed?
- This harms lag friendly farms where villagers only get 24 carrots to breed once.
- Predictability - Villagers should share food at 24 food points, since they only need 12. Giving them more will make the villagers inventory fill up over time until you suddenly get 2 villager babies.
- I assume its an easy fix.
How to reproduce
1. Fill the outside of a 3x3 area with beds and leave a place in the middle for villagers to stand on.
2. Place a block in the middle 2 blocks above where the villager will stand.
3. place a villager and give him 24 carrots (1 food point each)
4. place a second villager
5. /tick warp
6. the villagers share food and shouldn't breed
This issue relied heavily on the Minecraft wikis breeding section for villagers.
I am leaving this here in case someone wants to know what I meant by food points:
