When launching Minecraft in Demo mode(via the --demo parameter) using a premium Microsoft account that owns Minecraft: Java Edition, the game incorrectly renders the Realms news and notification icons on the title screen.
The“Minecraft Realms” button itself is absent (as expected in Demo mode), but the small news envelope icon and notification dot that normally appear on top of that button are still rendered at their usual screen coordinates. This results in floating, non-interactive icons that have no corresponding button.
Normally, the --demo parameter is auto-applied by the launcher when using an account without a game license. In that case, the player's ID is considered invalid for online features, so the Realms data fetch fails, and no icons are rendered. However, when a premium account is used to launch the demo, the game successfully fetches Realms data (as the account is valid), but the UI rendering logic fails to check if the Realms button itself is present before drawing the associated icons.
