Twisting vines texture changes, appearing to move downward when another twisting vine is placed above it

When a twisting vine is placed on top of another, the lower vine shifts downward slightly, which is a texture issue.

How to reproduce:

  1. Place a twisting vine

  2. Place another twisting vine above

  3. Take a closer look at the bottom left of the bottom twisting vine

Expected result:

The bottom twisting vine would not move down.

Observed result:

The bottom twisting vine shifts down slightly, which is clearly visible in the bottom left.

This is not a case of stretched textures, unlike 214078. The problem here is that the twisting_vines_plant and twisting_vines texture files don't line up perfectly.

You're correct, this isn't an issue with stretched textures. However, it is still related to MC-214078 because both cases involve the textures of the top block and lower blocks of a plant not lining up perfectly. In this case, the big dripleaf stem texture is stretched, which causes the misalignment, making it related to the mentioned report. (Also, I posted this comment to regain access to a link to MC-214078, as typing "214078" doesn't create an automatic link.)

Thank you for your report!
After consideration, the issue is being closed as Working as Intended.

Please note, that mechanics of the game may change between updates.
