Steps to Reproduce:
1) Run
/give @p firework_rocket{Fireworks:{Explosions:[{Type:0}]}} 64/give @p firework_rocket{Fireworks:{Explosions:[{Type:0}]}} 642) Fire a firework rocket just before colliding with a wall at high speeds
3) You will only take the damage of the rocket

@Shuddery Can you still reproduce this? From my own testing it looks like this may be fixed. The command I used:
/give @p firework_rocket[fireworks={flight_duration:2,explosions:[{shape:"large_ball",has_twinkle:0,has_trail:0}]}] 64/give @p firework_rocket[fireworks={flight_duration:2,explosions:[{shape:"large_ball",has_twinkle:0,has_trail:0}]}] 64
To reproduce, also wear this helmet so that you can easily distinguish between firework damage (low) and kinetic damage (high)
It seems the damage from the firework resets your momentum, making it very rare for the kinetic energy damage to occur. It can still happen in in some cases
