Iron golems will attack all villagers that are nearby. Eventually all the villagers in the village will be dead. I thought the iron golems are supposed to protect them. This was not an issue in 1.18.2.
Steps to reproduce the issue
Build an iron golem
Use a spawn egg to spawn a villager nearby
Observed behavior
The iron golem immediately attacks the villager.
Expected behavior
The iron golem does not immediately attack the villager.

No its not a duplicate of MC-213470. MC-213470 is about iron golems attacking villagers back after they attack them. My report is about iron golems attacking villagers out of nowhere for no reason even though the villagers didn't attack the iron golem. Please reopen. Also my issue didn't occur in 1.18.2, while MC-213470 did.
I am not able to reproduce this issue. Although the core issue here is MC-213470.
