Water Bottles can be used on Rooted Dirt & Coarse Dirt to make Mud

I experimented with water bottles and I found out that you can use them on Coarse Dirt & Rooted Dirt.

What I expected to happen was...:
It wouldn't be able to do that.

What actually happened was...:
They were now mud blocks.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Get a Water Bottle, Rooted Dirt, & Coarse Dirt
2. Place The Rooted Dirt & Coarse Dirt blocks anywhere you want.
3. Use the Water Bottle on them

works as expected

Sounds intentional, but I don't think Fandom is official and 22w11a Changelog only says dirt

The wiki is not written by Mojang, and describes the game as-is. It does not portray intended behavior.

I can confirm this though I'm pretty confident in saying that this is intended behavior judging by how dirt, coarse dirt, and rooted dirt are all included within the #minecraft:convertable_to_mud block tag.

They do have that tag, but when searching the tag in the creative menu, it doesn't show any blocks, the tag can be seen on the debug screen by pressing F3. (Scroll up to the issue to see the screenshots)

Thanks, but I have a question, what does triage mean?

Avoma, I looked at the confirmation status and it says confirmed now.

Triaged just means processed in its simplest terms and regardless of whether the confirmation status is "Confirmed", "Plausible", or "Community Consensus", the ticket will eventually get triaged by Mojang. Also, just to make you aware, general discussion that doesn't add anything to bug reports, isn't normally tolerated in the comment sections of tickets, so if you want to discuss issues, you can always do so in the Mojira Discord. 🙂

This behavior still occurs in 22w14a
