The game randomly teleported me super high then killed me from fall damage and then disconnected me

As the summary says I was literally just riding my horse back to my house when out of nowhere the game says that I 'died from fall damage' and then disconnects me. When I log back in I'm still dead and when I respawn sure enough all my 30+ levels were gone and my horse that I had had since the beginning was dead. I know I didn't fall through a random hole or anything as all my stuff that dropped was still lying there outside my house on flat ground. As I'm sure you can tell this is extremely frustrating and unfair. I spent real money on this game I would expect it to work properly as intended.
