Keeps telling me that my email and password are incorrect after resetting them

I forgot the password for my Minecraft Java.  I got the password reset through my email and changed it. It still keeps telling me that my information is invalid.  The site works from my phone but not from the downloaded version on my laptop.  My laptop in brand new. Can someone help me?
