Minecarts are registering as "Sounds" on the debug screen from 80 blocks away.

The bug

Every minecart, moving or not, on a rail or not, is registering as an active sound from a distance of 80 blocks from the player position.

How to reproduce

1. Open the debug screen (hit F3)

2. Place several minecarts
   → ❌ Notice how the Sounds counter increases by one for each minecart placed
