Shift-double-click on any kind fish only moves the first kind of fish you moved while that chest is open

Try these steps:
1. Start out with some space in your player inventory and a double chest containing different kinds of fish.
2. Click a stack of one kind of fish (e.g. "raw fish")
3. Hover that over the same kind of fish and shift-double-click

  • Result: All of that kind of fish gets moved from the check into inventory.
    4. In your inventory, hover that fish type over and shift-double-click again to move everything back to the chest, and then drop the hovered stack into the chest too.
    5. While the chest is still open, click on a different kind of fish (e.g. raw salmon).
    6. Hover over that kind of fish (the raw salmon) and shift double click.

  • Result: It isn't this kind of fish that gets moved but rather the first kind you moved (i.e. the "raw fish"). In fact, at this point, as long ask you keep that chest open, the only kind of fish that it'll move is the first type you selected (i.e. "raw fish", even if you have "raw salmon" selected).

The work-around is to close the chest then reopen it. When you do that, you can select a different kind of fish and move it.

I created a video of the bug happening. Sorry about the resolution, but I wasn't sure how else to get the file under your 10MB limit.

Does "resolved" now mean that you're going to ignore all updates to this bug? That seems to happen with some bug reporting systems.

Anyhow, this bug is easy for me to reproduce over and over again.

Can you reproduce it in another world?

It was a LOT harder to reproduce it in a separate (creative) world, but I've managed it. Please see the latest video I've just attached. You might want to try to do exactly what I did. Obviously, this is not a super important bug or anything, and it's easy to work around. I just thought you might want to know about it.

Procedure:
1. Select a stack of fish of type A, and remember the slot you selected as slot X. Shift-double-click on a neighboring slot. Then move that selected stack into the player inventory too.
2. Select a stack of fish of type B and move it into slot X (where you'd first selected the stack of type A).
3. Move all fish of type A back into the chest.
4. Select the stack of fish of type B that's in slot X, and then shift-double-click on another stack of type B.

Quite odd. I was able to move one kind of fish while clicking on the other one several times. But I can't reproduce it with your steps and I can't find any other way to reproduce it other than randomly double-shift clicking those items. I also get many failed shift-clicks (when you hold shift and click on an item, but it doesn't move), but it might be a separate issue.
Also I can't seem to reproduce that "the only kind of fish that it'll move is the first type you selected".
But I think this issue should be reopened, as I see that there's something wrong.

Is this still an issue in the most recent versions (currently that is 1.12.2) of Minecraft? If so, please update the affected versions and help us keeping this ticket updated from time to time. If you are the owner/reporter of this ticket, you can modify the affected version(s) yourself.
