The bug
If a shulker is sideways onto a wall, and then put into the boat, it will still be sideways while in the boat.
How to reproduce
Build wall and use a shulker spawn egg onto the wall.
Build a platform under the shulker hanging onto the wall.
Place a boat and row it into the shulker, dismount the boat.
→ ❌ Shulker is put sideways into the boat

I am not sure if it may be intended, haven't found any article if so. Also can't find a way to do this using commands.
The problem is that they can attack the driver more frequently too, because they can open all way (this part may be intended)
My guess (without in-game examination) is that the facing tag only updates when it teleports to another block, so it doesn't change when getting in a boat.
Can confirm.
But maybe is Works As Intended.
