Minecraft - Unable to join any friend's worlds.

Hi! I play on the Nintendo switch version of Minecraft. I have been experiencing an issue that does not allow me to join any of my friend's worlds on different platforms. However,  they are allowed to join my world. This has been an issue since the last three major updates and has yet to be fixed. Can you please fix this issue?
