Game save corrupted and would not open properly. Started over and now I cannot progress into the mines because child no longer shows up saying his mom is trapped. Please fix! It's really fun but now I can't complete it again all.

Unfortunately we don't accept issues related to third party addons here on the bug tracker, but please add more details if you think this also affects the Vanilla minecraft game.
I'd suggest contacting the addon creator directly or seeking help on the Minecraft forums.
